Mascot: Todays game we welcomed Young Jacob Smith of @BrymboLodge as our Mascot. We hope Jacob and his family enjoyed today's experience.

[Top Coach @CoachMoroke]

Had an interesting conversation at my son's U12 training session today. The discussion turned to the team's recent winning streak, and another parent asked how I felt about it.

I said it's great for the boys' confidence. Winning is fun, and seeing them enjoy their football is something every parent loves.

But as someone who understands the game, I couldn't help thinking that the real victory at this age is whether they're learning how to train, how to prepare, how to work with teammates, and how to respond when things don't go their way.

The wins we're celebrating today may be forgotten in a few years. The habits, character and love for the game they're building now could stay with them for life.

I felt a bit like a party pooper because everyone was focused on the results.

But watching from the sidelines as a parent, I found myself caring less about the winning streak and more about whether these boys are being prepared for whatever comes next.

Proud moment last night where @BrymboLodge U10, U11 and U12 had a minute of applause for Joey Jones. As a young lad playing for @Wrexham_AFC Joey played a big part in shaping my future career in sport. A true legend

[Bala Town FC @BalaTownFC]

Steve Crompton is staying on at Maes Tegid! 🙌

Steve will continue with the First Team coaching staff for 2025/26 and will also take on an expanded role working with our U21 squad as we develop the next generation of Lakesiders talent!

Extremely sad news. Gren was my goalkeeping coach from 10 to 16 year old. Lessons learnt from him I’ve carried though my coaching journey. I was only talking about him this weekend at a national coaching conference. His impact on so many goalkeepers is still felt #legend

[Chester FC @ChesterFC]

It is with immense sadness that Chester FC announce the sudden passing of Hall of Famer, Grenville Millington.

Grenville has an association with the Blues of more than half a century, first proudly serving us as a player and making over 300 appearances for the club.

Post retirement, Grenville represented the club as a Goalkeeper Coach, President of the Former Players’ Association, Director, Chairman, and most recently as the Legends Lounge Hospitality host. He was our first inductee into the Hall of Fame and was also an Honorary Life Vice-President.

Gren’s contributions to Chester Football Club will forever be etched in history, and his sudden loss leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts. We send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends at this terribly sad time.

RIP Grenville. We will never forget you.
