No strong evidence for this exists esp in MR environment where perfect immobilization procedures are seldom feasible. Harm from prolonged extrication time also very real, esp if weather closes.

Better to coordinate with transferring facility so you retrieve them right after a pronation period

If you’re in a community in which COVID is present, make sure you’re using full PPE everytime you perform intubation, regardless of known pt’s COVID status or symptoms: even for stroke, traumas, cardiac arrests. As in any war scenario first concern must be force protection!
