@charlescwcooke I feel like you’re a good person to tell that I’m enjoying the Charles C.W. Cooke Podcast - though telling you is probably not helping your download numbers.
@AlexFast8 I didn’t think I could feel so happy for a stranger.
It’s weird when you don’t know someone, but you feel like you do because they have been talking to you for so long.
@whignewtons you mentioned on the last AO that it was your job on the Romney campaign to think of ways to steal an election. Could you expound on that a little?
@cd_viva@doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar Some laws may be vague or poorly written, and I would hope those would be tightened up, but there is not a state with an abortion restriction that does not have an exception for the life of the mother. If you have specific information to add, please do.
@FermentedJuices @HarleyVaxQuinn @doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar Unless I’m missing something, there isn’t a state that doesn’t include such an exception. There are concerns that some laws are too vague or could be constructed better. Is that what you are concerned about? If so, we can agree on that.
@FermentedJuices @HarleyVaxQuinn @doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar I am not aware, but I’m willing to listen. I have thought about the issue a bit, but I certainly don’t know everything.
@FermentedJuices @HarleyVaxQuinn @doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar What law has no exceptions? I think we both agree that in any law a pregnant person’s life should be protected.
@HarleyVaxQuinn @doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar You’re probably right. I would think there is a way to navigate through that so pregnant people aren’t dying in such situations. I hope lawmakers consider these tough situations when they make laws.
@RunsKnives@DrStephensonN@atrupar I hear you. If I thought bodily autonomy was more important than fetus’s life until birth I would be upset too because bodily autonomy is one of the most important rights. I think there’s a point during pregnancy when a fetus’s life is more important than bodily autonomy.
@HarleyVaxQuinn @doomanity@DrStephensonN@atrupar Those are difficult situations. Fortunately doctors are trained for life and death situations, and it’s hard to imagine an obstetrician not knowing laws have exceptions for the life of the mother and not doing everything they could do to save the pregnant person’s life.
