Yesterday, another community dog was allegedly killed, and the body was found thrown in the jungle behind B Block at IIT Hyderabad.

The photographs and video being shared are deeply disturbing. One of the photographs appears to show the dog limping and bleeding before its death, raising even more serious questions about what happened to this animal and whether it received any medical attention.

Who killed this dog? Who authorised it? Who transported and dumped the body? Why was an injured, bleeding animal not given immediate veterinary care?

These are questions that demand an immediate and independent investigation.

IIT Hyderabad must preserve all CCTV footage and other evidence, identify those responsible, and ensure that any action taken against community dogs is lawful and humane.

An educational institution cannot allow cruelty, disappearance or killing of animals to become a method of managing community dogs.

The photographs and video are being shared as evidence and for the attention of the concerned authorities.

We demand answers. We demand accountability. We demand justice for this voiceless life.
