Claude and I built this
Choose a star within 100 lightyears and design an O'neill inspired habitat (or a cluster of them), fit and engine or sail to them, book a century of lasing from your local dyson sphere and off you go!

Glad you're coming through, Elon.
As you say, we can harness the Sun. We could also use that to power laser sail based von Neumann self-replicating, post-ASI interstellar probes carrying biological seeds to Proxima Centauri annually by late century, sending enough cargo to seed a civilization. The goal is to establish a chain of missions, with new launches every year so no single failure can end the effort, while ensuring successful missions receive annual backup resources.
The key to making this happen is an industrial Moon that manufactures and launches the infrastructure needed to harness the Sun at thousands of terwats scale, alongside a Martian republic built on the purpose of expanding consciousness and ensuring this mission endures. Earth overall is not a reliable candidate. You can do the math on that.
Ultimately, before we somehow achieve interstellar travel at scale, which will demand absurd amounts of time and resources not just magic innovation, with extinction events or civilizational regression remaining real risks in the meantime, we could instead establish interstellar colonies across dozens of planetary systems this way, eventually spreading consciousness in all its forms across billions of planets through self-replicating probes that repeat the process around every star they reach
There’s a chance we could achieve the ultimate mission of guaranteeing the dim light of consciousness within this century, within our lifetimes. At the very least, we could get it started.
@CJHandmer Spain ran at 1/10:th and see where that got them, best HSR is the one that is forever milked for bribes and political brownie points and never gets built
@hendrikotten3 we need to cut the cables to denmark and germany, let you sort out your own green mess. If you want to Greta we can't save you from your own stupidity
some people do not benefit from being operated on, even if the operation is 'indicated' in the traditional sense. Sometimes the reason can be cleanly elucidated, but not always, sometimes it's just a hunch or a feeling.
I'm an experienced surgeon, you have to ask yourself. I got a hunch, and I'm sharing it with you. Do you really want to second guess it?
This is basically how I do 75% of my foot surgery, only with some more attention to ventilation, the OP theathre is a converted regular clinic room with added extra ventilation. Use battery power tools.
Ankle block or infiltration, halluxes, hammertoes and other minor procedures
@AndrewCurran_@AAMortazavi that's my impression too, Opus 5.5 was a step change in relation to the previous opus release trajectory, I can't wait for Fable 5.5
@IterIntellectus now send them in a slowboat to another star, 1500 years at 0.01c, the same groupchat, the same idiots, for eternity

@KommentatoriXi@Qeruiem exakt!
