@prathle@emileifrem - @Neo4j will be remembered for being on the wrong side of open-source history because of this case.
Since you both played a key role, surely the FOSS community would like to hear your sides of the story.

So is this $100M actual cash, new funding, or just spin so every dollar you spend going forward gets rebranded as part of this “investment”?
Asking because I’m announcing my own personal $1T commitment to AI memory.
Already deployed $20 on GPU rentals, $5 on parking (AI memory meeting), and raising the rest with IOUs.

Does @Google (via GV) endorse @neo4j’s toxic campaign against open source? It’s likely your funding is fueling this enormously expensive fight.
The open source community and the investing public, deserve clarity. @thulme@GVteam@Google@fsf

Neo4j’s legal maneuvers are an attempt to emasculate the AGPL in the courts by pushing for additional restrictions that contradict the license's core principles. Kudos to the @fsf for stepping in here on behalf of the license and in @jmsuhy's defense:
@neo4j@TomNijam@Klarna That’s a Grok-generated summary, and the prompt behind it isn’t visible. For all we know, it could have been: “Summarize this thread to make Neo4j seem like a key player and still relevant.”
@neo4j “Heart of the stack” - That’s a bit of a marketing stretch considering Klarna said they built an internal tech stack “using Neo4j and other things”.

@DOGE might want to take a look at this - @neo4j’s strategy of using its own spin on open-source terms (over FSF’s interpretation) to pressure agencies into buying commercial licenses just crumbled.

So no, we did not replace SaaS with an LLM, and storing CRM data in an LLM would have its limitations. But we developed an internal tech stack, using Neo4j and other things, to start bringing data=knowledge together.
