A perfect example as to why we should never assume anything with trauma—it’s so unpredictable. Tamponade is a common trauma finding in echo💦 Depending on the rate of accumulation it could be missed/underestimated at first😳

POCUS-1st in dyspnea leads to some very interesting discoveries! This pt had SOB without clinical signs of volume overload. Notice the regurgitant jet seen on color flow over the mitral valve secondary to heart failure. Can you spot another finding in this apical 4-chamber view?
