Please retweet RSPCA APPEAL FOR INFORMATION – INJURED DOG FOUND IN #CAMBRIDGE#UK🚨
This is Peanut, a Shih Tzu Lhasa Aspo-cross. He was found straying in Ross Street, #Cambridge on 2 July, carrying injuries that were hidden beneath matted fur so severe his ear had become attached to his neck.
When the team at Woodgreen Pets Charity clipped him, they uncovered the wounds you can see in this collage:
⭐ Long, vertical injuries running from his back down to his stomach
⭐ Missing fur and raw, healing skin
⭐ Marks that do NOT look accidental
The RSPCA believes these injuries are “extremely unusual” and may have been deliberately inflicted.
📌 Peanut was rehomed around six months ago.
📌 Someone knows who had him.
📌 Someone knows what happened.
Despite everything, Peanut is recovering — his personality is shining through — but he deserves justice.
📞 INFORMATION NEEDED
If you recognise Peanut, know who owned him, or have ANY detail at all, please contact the RSPCA:

In the next 2 days we are facing a major heatwave 🥵 we are INCREDIBLY worried about leaving both Lily 🤍 and Lottie 🌸 in kennels, even tonight!! … But especially in the heat we are expecting with their stress levels 🆘‼️
🤍 Lily is a 10 yr old small Cocker Spaniel. Super sweet, sensitive, busy and has most definitely had many puppies.
🌸 Lottie is a 12 yr old (according to her chip!!) Cockapoo 💔 she doesn’t look her age at all and is super friendly and just desperate for company.
If you have fostered for us before, and have room for even a very short term foster to help either of these poor girls, PLEASE give us a message/email ASAP!!! 🚨‼️

Lily and Lottie, desperate for a foster home.
If anyone would like to donate to help this poor girl we’d be very grateful 😢💔
Her owner passed away and she had to be taken straight to the vets as a neglect case. The same dog warden who helped Stark find his way to us, asked us to help her.
We are going to call her Penelope 😍 Hopefully she will be well enough to come to us today or tomorrow. She has a long journey ahead but she will know only love and the best care now 💜

Could you possibly please share?
We’ve not had any enquiries for this lovely girl, she’s been waiting a while now.
Astrid is a 5 year old female German Shepherd x Belgian Malinois. She is available and looking for a new home.
Astrid is chipped and spayed and also healthy with no medical issues.
She would suit a home with someone who is active and can give her plenty of walks and attention.
Astrid eats a mix of wet and dry food and can be left on her own.
She travels well in the van with her dog walker but can be car sick. She sleeps in her owners room at night either on the bed or her own bed on the floor.
Astrid likes to meet new people and gets excited. She would be fine around teenagers but not small children.
Astrid doesn’t like cats. She is registered with the vets.
She is fine on group walks but when she is with her owner she can be reactive to other dogs as she thinks she is protecting her owner.
A home with no other animals is best for Astrid and her needs.
She is use to spending time alone at home with background music left on for her. Astrid is excellent at letting you know when she needs the toilet. She is kept on a lead when out on walks as she can be reactive to other dogs but not all dogs. She is also use to a long lead and loves to play with her toy or a ball. Astrid sees playing with toys or a ball as a job and doesn't pay much attention to other dogs unless they come into her space.

Can you please share for Oscar? He is still available.
Oscar is a beautiful 12 year old male Bichon Frise. He is available and would suit someone who is on their own with no other pets or young kids.
He loves attention and claps and will bark to tell you to clap him more. He is very loving.
Oscar eats Pooch and mutt calm and relaxed dog food which is provided through his food dispenser.
Oscar can be wary of new people to begin with but does like attention and a pet.
He likes treats and travels well in the car.
Oscar sleeps in his own bed at night. He is also healthy with no issues.
He will be rehomed with all of his belongings.

The fact that most British council dog pounds give dogs no exposure and euthanise them after 7 days, when no shelters spaces are available, is a national disgrace and scandal #UK
Most council pounds do not show the dogs they have in their care on social media, often no one knows they exist or that they have been pts.
If a dog was stolen in London and then dumped in Scotland the owner only has 7 days to search every pound in the UK to find him, he can then be 'euthanised'.
Councils say they do not have the space or resources to feed and house dogs or to assess them for re homing. It's a national scandal we are not seeing in the news.
The public needs to know why buying a puppy or breeding from existing pets is a very bad idea. Unscrupulous breeding should be stopped now‼️‼️
⭐️There are already more pets than homes⭐️
