@IdleLightkeeper Evolutionarily it perhaps wasn't necessary to be mindful for hours at a time. Just because the brain isn't trained to discipline its thoughts doesn't mean that "external control" by screens and alcohol don't limit the individual and collective human potential significantly, no?

28. In general, the understanding of the many ways interactions can be non zero sum seems like one of humanities' greatest discoveries to me. It's transformative when internalized; but very hard to internalize (& I certainly still struggle with it).
