The discussion stretched from the roots of critical theory to the real-world consequences in politics and foreign affairs

If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal.
If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist.
If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian.
If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.
No. The state may not coerce private institutions to censor speech that the state itself cannot censor under the first amendment.
Besides, you are not safer for knowing LESS about what people really think .
The head of @TPUSA@charliekirk11 has died after being shot at a college event. This is an evil and sickening act, especially in a country that prizes the right of free speech. I hope the shooter is found quickly and brought to justice--and that such violence isn't repeated.
How funny is it that I, a lapsed Catholic and apatheist drug user, appear on episode 420 of the @LCIOfficial podcast with @dougstuart? Pretty funny--but a great conversation about faith, freedom, immigration, and more. Watch/listen/read at https://t.co/M9FXcejgCc
Objections to libertarianism tend to fall into one of a few categories:
1) I just hate the idea of people doing things I disapprove of.
2) I think it would lead to [completely unrealistic negative consequence]
3) I don't understand libertarianism.
All of the people declaring “no kings” were, just a few years ago, cheering and enthusiastically submitting as we were locked in our homes and forced to wear muzzles on our faces and compelled to inject experimental drugs into our bodies.
Frauds and hypocrites. All of them.
The purpose of the "No Kings" protests are to (a) further destabilize the nation (b) create an opportunity for the next George Floyd (c) create an atmosphere of disruption throughout the entire United States. "Us vs. Them" with our own citizens to encourage the general opinion throughout the nation that "we just can't live with people with opinions that are different than ours" which will lead to Balkanization and "The Big Sort". Basically, it is how a color revolution is done.
No Kings is a nationwide provocation and an attempt to spark an overreaction by conservatives. Allow this contrived gathering to pass without staging our own reactive respose.
Every time Trump pushes one of these reckless spending bills, conservatives and libertarians are told to “give him a chance” and “trust the plan.”
It’s like we’re supposed to pretend Trump hasn’t been president for 4+ years.
He’s had many chances. His bills ballooned the debt.
