@tannenfreund_87@christianhujer@LilithWittmann Thinkpads von 2006 und Macbooks von 2006 waren jeweils Peak Laptopdesign (für 2 sehr unterschiedliche Ideale) danach ging es für beide bergab.
@gob_lynn@magus_vera@AriDrennen Yeah, wish one of those would actually try to read up on the science in both topics instead of thinking that their opinions are science.
@danielcranney HTML+CSS only, if light/dark mode should follow system settings. A little vanilla JS if a switcher is necessary.
Adding any kind of dependency, when the original project has such a short timeframe means it will break/need updates that it doesn't get very fast.
@TheoryofMind1@Grady_Booch@sama@karpathy The simplest answer would be: he doesn't. Making people fear a coming superintelligent AI distracts from the harms and dangers of "AI" today.
@KrystianLaskow1@nntaleb It is a language model. As such it does not know anything, just possiblities of words. The meaning of those words and with it even the concepts of "knowing", "real", "imagined" cannot just be added to a system that does not have it in the first place.
@smdiehl One of its many harms, that is often not seen, because the others are more obvious, is how it took up the space of the the much needed discussion about the problems of the current web and its possible future and filled it with nonsense.
@Apachon3@smdiehl First the internet and later the web were useful from the moment of their inception. Of course sometimes there was hype and sometimes there was doubt, but even in its infancy the www was much more useful than web3 (which now has had some time to "mature" and didn't).
