@jfr3shco @FredVanVleet I see your point, but have you seen the recent Stone and Udoka interviews? They treat FVV like he is D Fox, J Brunson, or some other younger and arguably better PGs. Kyrie is and will always be much better PG than FVV. I would rather pay Kyrie $35 mil than FVV $20 mil or more.

I am not sure if Reed will ever be as good as Steve Nash. I highly doubt Amen will be a good 3-point shooter (38-40%).

Giving a max deal to defense-only guys like the Thompson twins would be the worst thing that would happen to a franchise. I hope you all are watching how Ausar plays 0 minutes every time the Pistons need more scoring. Amen is no different; he can’t shoot or dribble the ball well.

@mshap2 Free Sengun! I honestly think our team would do much better if Sengun is traded for a more traditional center like Robert Williams. Ime, KD, Sengun clearly do not work! If I was Sengun’s agent, I would try to pressure Stone to trade him.

@houstonhorn08 Blaming “veterans” does not change the fact that Alpi and Amen failed to play well. If Amen gets the max deal (5-year, $250 mil), the Rockets will be nothing but another lottery team in about five years.

@WenhanTong @BinkleyHoops I hope Amen’s contract does not turn out to be a Ben Simmons situation with the 76ers. Simmons got a max rookie extension in 2019 from the 76ers with the expectation that his offense will improve over time. He showed no improvement and got paid $177 mil for mostly doing nothing.

@houstonhorn08 If Sengun is worth $36 mil, Jalen Green $33 mil and Jabari $25 mil, Amen definitely will want more than what Sengun and Jalen got. 5-year, $200 mil with a player option, 15% trade kicker seems likely.
