The bigger problem is tax uncertainty.

SGB is a perfect example.

When SGBs were launched, maturity gains were tax-free for individuals.

But from 1 April 2026, the rules changed:

✅️Original issue + held continuously till maturity → tax-free

✅️Secondary-market purchase → maturity gains taxable.

And this is the scary part:

✅️Tax rules changed for an investment you may have made 5–7 years ago.

Your investment stayed the same.

The tax treatment changed.

That’s the real risk of tax uncertainty.
