How do you summarise 2 days of greatness? I’ve been thinking about this a lot! 3 weeks ago, on 29th-30th December, 2023 ‘VIBES WITH DR ADAKU LAGOS 2.0’ occurred in Nigeria and it was truly everything and more. A music, technology (web3) and wellbeing festival with a twist! The impact was clear and so rewarding.

On day 1 (developers day), we had @AleoHQ coding workshops with 100 software developers. It was a day full of excellence: multiple workshops primarily consisting of technical coding workshops educating devs on building ZK blockchain apps on Aleo which were 'learn and earn'. @alysiatech and I put our heart and soul into everything and it was truly so rewarding to be able to do this in Nigeria! The education and engagement didn’t stop after day 1, we’ve been doing troubleshooting, more education, code reviews and connecting everyone to more learn and earn opportunities with projects like @lets_puzzle who also did a workshop on the day. Thank you to Aleo / @f3annee for making this a reality, big shoutout to @IzzyOAP too, their Nigeria ambassador! @aleo_nigeria

We had all sorts of developers from smart contract devs, web2 devs, creators, even musicians who also code! As well as the coding workshops we also had: monetisation workshops led by Victoria Ajayi - Chief Financial Officer at TVC, group therapy led by Lagos based therapist Sandy Brown, meditation led by Good Faith Yoga, free food, drinks, snacks, merch, networking, games and so much more! That was just day 1! On day 2 - the concert/vibe/creator day- we had performances, my full set, body art, health/wellbeing and natural hair panels, games, giveaways and so much more (video coming up next!)

That’s exactly what we do, and did at our Vibes With Dr Adaku: Superwomen Summer Sessions event on July 30th 💕 safe spaces ❤️ so much more to come! #VibesWithDrAdakuLondon ✨ we also had $2500 in prizes and ‘learn to earn’ bounties thanks to @SuperteamUK and the @ChainforGood hackathon, taught people/women/mothers/aunties/daughters how to code, about AI and blockchain, about hackathons, we ATE, we danced, we prioritised our wellbeing! Onboarded everyone onto the @baseapp and taught everyone about MiniApps too, as well as OnchainSummer by Base. @baseduk_

The first of Superwomen Summer Sessions was an intimidate gathering which focused on contact hours with mentors as well as the workshops, dance class and performance, we have another in Oxford next month - details soon. Additionally, on October 2nd - 4th, we’re doing a huge VIBES WITH DR ADAKU Conference and Concert for all in London, a Black History Month special at 22 Bishopsgate, Liverpool Street - more on this soon!

For years, VIBES WITH DR ADAKU has been changing lives for real. Providing workshops on technology (blockchain/AI), wellbeing, health, financial literacy and so much more in addition to the performances and concerts. The motto is never stop learning. We’ve empowered creatives, software engineers, singers, dancers, mothers, aunties and so much more. As a polymath: singer/songwriter, PhD holder, postdoc at Oxford University, entrepreneur, software engineer (and more 👀) it brings me great pleasure to be able to continuously educate and empower with VIBES WITH DR ADAKU.
