Hinojosa: What I wish the press would cover, and what I wish people understood, is that it’s all about corruption. At least in Texas, we’re paying into a system that is working against us. The legislation I see getting passed in the Texas House—the only legislation we get to vote on that comes before us—is pushed by moneyed interests. That is corrupt.

It’s the reason why people are turned off by government. It’s the reason why people are turned off by capitalism, because they’re experiencing the crony capitalism that we have in this country, and in Texas in a big way. Texas has become a pay-to-play state, and as a result, we have skyrocketing property taxes, yet we have over 150 whole school districts operating on a four-day week because they can’t afford to operate five days a week. We have over 150 schools shutting down. We have the highest uninsured rate in Texas—the most uninsured children in the country. We have the most people being disconnected from their electricity because they can’t afford to pay their bills. I mean, the list goes on and on.

That is Greg Abbott’s record. That’s why the polling shows people want change. They know Greg Abbott. They know he’s been there 12 years, and they will not elect him to another four. That’s the opportunity we have in this election.

Ken Paxton even kept him off the sex offender registry. Adam Hoffman was supposed to serve 25 years to life, but instead he served less than a month. As of this week, he’s now back on our streets because of Ken Paxton’s corruption.

Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America, and it is costing Texans, it’s endangering our children, and it must end. The Epstein class has no place in Texas.
