This is one of the harsh realities of the Kedarnath trek.
These innocent horses, mules, and donkeys carry thousands of pilgrims and tourists up the steep mountain paths every single day. They work tirelessly without a voice, asking for nothing in return.
But when they become exhausted, fall sick, get injured, or can no longer work, many are simply left behind to suffer alone. That is the heartbreaking truth.
A pilgrimage should be a journey of faith, compassion, and kindness not one that leaves innocent animals in pain. If our devotion cannot include mercy for the voiceless, then we must ask ourselves what true compassion really means.
These gentle souls deserve proper food, water, medical care, rest, and dignity throughout their lives not only while they are useful to us.
Please be kind. Speak up for them. Their silence should never become their suffering.

🚨 ILLEGALLY DETAINED AFTER STERILIZATION 🚨
These are sterilized, healthy community dogs from JP Greens, Greater Noida.
Instead of being released back to their original territories as mandated under the ABC Rules, 2023, they are reportedly being held by GNIDA.
This is:
❌ Illegal
❌ Cruel
❌ A violation of the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023
Sterilized and vaccinated community dogs must be returned to the same location after surgery. Preventing their release is unlawful and subjects them to unnecessary stress and suffering.
We urge GNIDA to immediately release these dogs back to JP Greens.
Please call and politely demand their release:

🚨 URGENT : INJURED BLEEDING ELEPHANT PARADED THROUGH CROWDED STREETS INDIA🚨🐘
📍 Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh
https://t.co/kMOkE4KRZB
Videos circulating online appear to show an elephant being taken through busy market roads in Ghazipur. The animal appears distressed and may be suffering from health or welfare issues. If verified, the incident raises serious concerns regarding the transport, handling, and commercial use of a Schedule I protected species.
🐘 Elephants are protected under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
⚠️ Was the movement of this elephant authorized?
⚠️ Were all required permissions, veterinary clearances, and transport documents in place?
⚠️ Has the animal's health condition been assessed by the Forest Department?
The welfare of captive elephants cannot be ignored. Long hours on crowded roads, exposure to noise, heat, traffic, and public handling can cause significant stress and suffering.
We respectfully urge authorities to:
✅ Rescue this elephant immediately
✅ Arrest the criminals who are forcing this elephant to parade immediately
✅ Check ownership, permits, and transit documentation
✅ Investigate any possible violations of wildlife and animal welfare laws
✅ Ensure the elephant receives proper care and protection
Voiceless animals deserve accountability and compassion.

Municipal workers from Aligarh Nagar Nigam are dumping docile community dogs in a garbage container truck for relocation/euthanasia! This is a severe violation of PCA! Why are dogs being transported in garbage trucks!? Where are they being taken? Pls take action @aligarhpolice@Dm_Aligarh@aligarh_nna@Uppolice@dgpup
This is from Mathura, UP. Why do people break water bowls kept for animals? Which inner demon tells you that's it's a right thing to do? While these people stay inside their AC rooms 24/7 drinking RO water. Breaking water bowls kept for animals says a lot about your character that doesn't need explanation. Breaking water bowls should be considered a crime
Ajnara Homes, Greater Noida.
A puppy has been found beheaded.
Before anyone says its just a one off incident, it isnt. People who have been feeding and looking after community dogs have been talking about cruelty for a long time. The violence keeps escalating and the silence continues.
How many animals need to die before somebody in authority wakes up?
To the police and administration: @noidapolice@CeoNoida if a helpless puppy turning up beheaded doesnt trigger a serious investigation, CCTV checks and accountability, then what does?
And to the doctors and mental health expertsof this country: what kind of person is capable of doing this to a defenseless animal? Is this normal behaviour, or a warning sign of something far darker?
Enough excuses. Enough looking away.

I guess now the Supreme Court of India’s three-judge bench is happy to divide society into two parts. People are getting mentally sick. This happens when our judiciary fails, our system fails, and authorities fail to protect innocent animals and destroy nature. I want to ask one simple question to the Supreme Court, that three-judge panel, and authorities: the so-called educated society of India generally makes statements that dogs attack human kids and old people to justify their cruelty in the name of safety. So, how was this 3-to-4-month-old puppy, who was brutally killed by people in Ajnara Society, Greater Noida West, dangerous to society? Did this innocent puppy attack humans? And who will be held responsible for this cruelty?
No one, right?
Just like no one is held accountable for decades of failure regarding ABC rules, cruelty against animals, and corruption in the name of shelters, etc.
We, as citizens, go to courts for justice, but when the judiciary fails, the system of that particular nation automatically fails.

When a voiceless animal is beaten...
and the law barely notices,
when an animal cries in pain...
and the abuser walks free,
our silence becomes part of the cruelty.
This is why we ROAR.
Not for ourselves.
For those who cannot.

A hungry, vulnerable monkey was quietly eating. A human approached with a stick and hit her. The monkey didn't attack back. She simply left.
If we celebrate violence against defenseless animals, we normalize cruelty itself. Compassion is not weakness. It is humanity at its best.
Be kind to those who cannot speak for themselves.

No training—just poorly trained dog catchers employed by the Greater Noida authorities. Beta-1, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. @OfficialGNIDA@indSupremeCourt
Years of failure in implementing effective sterilisation and vaccination programmes have created this situation.
Instead of investing in scientific and humane population management, authorities are now resorting to hasty measures in response to court directives.
Dogs picked up for sterilisation deserve dignity, compassion, and humane handling.
We respectfully urge the authorities to ensure that all dog-catching staff are properly trained in animal welfare and humane capture techniques. These voiceless souls should never be subjected to fear, pain, or rough treatment while being taken for sterilisation or vaccination.
If a dog is being picked up for a welfare programme, let it be done with kindness and respect. Every animal deserves to be handled gently and safely.
Sterilisation and vaccination are essential for both animal welfare and community well-being, but the process must remain humane at every step. Let us set an example of compassion and responsible care rather than causing unnecessary suffering.
A truly progressive society is measured by how it treats those who cannot speak for themselves.
Let's work together to ensure that every dog is treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.
