Delighted to share our latest story on identifying human and mouse vascular stem cells, the crucial cell type involved in both development and regeneration. Fun fact: there are two types of vascular stem cells and their synergic effect is required for functional vessel formation.
🚵🏻♀️ 🦴 @StanfordPlastic's Dr. Ashley Titan (PGY4 Resident) shares how her passion for athletics inspired her interest in skeletal stem cell research and the role they play in the process of bone and cartilage repair. @ATitanMD@amcollsurgeons

At last! Happy to share our paper on CellOracle – a computational method for dissecting cell identity via network inference and in silico gene perturbation, led by the amazing @kenjikamimoto68: https://t.co/1km6dQIMmY
Very proud of Shaneice, the first postdoc from our lab to get a K99 award! Her work looks at the effect of CHIP mutations on human macrophage function. Looking forward to seeing her amazing science progress !!
We are thrilled to welcome @dr_ambrosi to #UCDHOrtho. Dr. Ambrosi will lead our newly established Ambrosi Lab at the Lawrence J. Ellison MSK Research Center, studying bone biology through the lens of skeletal stem cells. Welcome to @UCDavisHealth, Dr. Ambrosi.
Dr. George Yang was one of the most influential mentors of my career. Being his “lab of 1” @StanfordSurgery was an incredible experience and privilege. I hope to honor his memory by living with the wisdom that he shared with me over the years. Rest In Peace, my mentor and friend.
Dr. Yang was a fierce #heforshe advocate both as a mentor and in proposing this topic for research- looking at the effect of estrogen on skeletal stem cells. Both have led to fruitful results and lasting effects on the scientific world.
It is bittersweet to see the late and great Dr. George Yang's work published. What began as the last project of my research fellowship has been beautifully brought to completion by @LongakerLab and @drchuckchan et al! Thank you! https://t.co/FoRjLC8Bgc
Grateful to share that our work with the unforgettable Dr. George Yang has now been published. We asked why regeneration in some tissues differs between males and females. (1/n)
🌟 Our own Dr. Dung Nguyen, Clinical Professor, recently was honored as the James IV Association of Surgeons Traveling Fellow.
✨ Below are some highlights of Dr. Nguyen's trip to Europe as a participant in the fellowship.
