My passion for teaching requires no recognition, but the last few semesters have been really hard. I am incredibly grateful for leadership willing to back me in hard times, reminding me of my value. This award was motivated by students, so I will treasure it even more.
Started my day off learning alongside our Secondary Math team on Enhancing Access and UDL strategies for @OsideUSD students! Great session facilitated by @USD_PhDSJ Prof. @drlibbybutler Thank you for extending this amazing opportunity to our team!
My daughter's continuously remind me that life is about more than working towards a future, never forgetting to prioritize making time for enjoying today. #TheLightWeCarry@MichelleObama

@mathhombre@IllustrateMath@jennalaib I supported teachers with SBG in San Diego, using IM. It wasn't annideal implementation but a reasonable transition for teachers that could evolve to ideal.
@EboneeNWeathers @FabiBagulaPhD @LeadwLovePower @KMooreDandI Full control of my calendar and time commitments, with the ability to decline any tasks that feel "icky" and have little to no chance of making a difference.
Working toward equity is not about understanding student needs by finding deficits, rationalizing what they can’t do and lowering expectations. It’s work to understand students unique gifts/talents and entry points so we can RAISE EXPECTATIONS.
Hi #mtbos and #iteachmath! I’m seeing some touching remembrances of @johnberray. I’d like to suggest we all add #honoringjohn to our messages. I currently work in the position he held prior to his passing, and I will share the hashtag with the community here. Please RT.
