@DaphSci I'm so glad I didn't wait too long. I was in denial at first, but after i had my right hip done in late Sept I decided to do the left in early Dec. Best decision! It's given me my life back. And yes - incredible how much you can do. Yoga and I'm just getting back to aerial arts.
Sappy post incoming... my 1st year on TT I found out my hips had degenerated to the point that I'd need to get both totally replaced. Terrifying to hear esp when starting a lab. BUT super grateful to be back, bionic and running around a conference sharing my science with ppl. 🦾
@LC_Ornelas21 Thanks, Laura. I will see you at RSA. I have a symposium on Sunday (first day always the best to get scheduled!). So, we should make time to catch up after that.

@MoeNeuro I am so so sorry. Right there with you. I wish I could help but all I can say is that you are not alone and I feel you on how hard this job can be as female jr faculty. It's very real.
Great seeing old friends at #SfN2023, But the real highlight was seeing Pina Lab grad student (Colin Johnston) and postdoc @ammpatch show off their hard work! 🤩 Congrats you two and thanks everyone who stopped by.🥳 🎉#ProudNewPI@um_neurobio@UMMedNeuro @um_mind
