Henry didn't just randomly die - he was murdered - by a "minority". But sure, worry about hateful, hurty words that may be aimed in the direction of minorities. Re: scalability I did a little more research on wolf density (Voyageurs has the highest density in the US by a fair amount - I believe only Yellowstone comes close) and the rancher (possibly the largest in MN). That does add some perspective to the risk exposure of this particular rancher. I also looked at other (less costly) risk mitigation ideas though none resulted in 0 losses as the Voyageurs project reported.
