Amazed to see many oldies advocating for long duty hours for residents. But this is against 1992 rules and a punishable crime under BNS. They hide the fact that during long duty hours, most residents are assigned minimal work, no actual learning.

UPDATE ON NEET-SS 2025 COUNSELLING—

Today, we held a constructive meeting with officials from MCC @DghsIndia, @MoHFW_INDIA , regarding the pending NEET-SS 2025 counselling process.

We have been informed that the counselling is expected to resume within the next 1–3 days.

We appreciate the authorities for taking up the matter and look forward to the early commencement of the counselling process for thousands of aspiring super-speciality candidates.

Dr Manish Jangra @Dr_ManishJangra, Patron of FAIMA, expressed serious concern over today’s Supreme Court hearing regarding the NEET UG paper leak case.
Dr Jangra welcomed the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s observations on transparency, accountability, and the urgent need for reforms in the conduct of national-level examinations.

He further stated that FAIMA has consistently demanded a fair, transparent, and corruption-free examination process, along with stricter security measures and accountability of all concerned authorities.
Dr Manish Jangra also highlighted the immense stress and uncertainty faced by students due to repeated controversies surrounding the examination process.

Upon being invited as a Special Invitee by the Rajya Sabha Parliamentary Standing Committee, Chairperson Dr. Lakshya Mittal, National President Dr. Babita and the UDF team will participate in the high-level meeting to be held on 1st June in the Indian Parliament.

In this meeting, the Parliamentary Committee comprising 31 MPs, the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, and the Director General of NTA will be present.

Discussions will be held in this meeting on topics related to necessary reforms in NEET, NTA and the examination system.

NEET SS 2025 Round-2 counselling remains effectively stalled as MCC has extended choice filling “till further orders” due to the pending Supreme Court matter Tamilvani & Ors. v State of Tamil Nadu regarding reversion of TN in-service seats to AIQ.

Thousands of super-specialty aspirants are now left in uncertainty despite the academic session being treated as commenced from 10 April 2026. Joining, careers, income, relocation plans and future training timelines are all affected.

Doctors who cleared one of the toughest exams deserve clarity, not prolonged limbo.

We urge @MoHFW_INDIA @PMOIndia @NMC_IND @JPNadda to ensure urgent resolution, issue a clear revised timeline, and protect the academic future of NEET SS aspirants.
