@ushautsou I’d probably use a mix of both! Keep RLS and database stuff in Postgres, and the rest in the app. Seems easier to manage as things grow.

Day 1 of building my own app 🚀

So, why did I decide to build an app in the first place?

It started with a problem I had myself. I kept looking for an app that fit what I needed, but nothing really worked. Some were clunky, some missed key features, some didn’t support the language I needed, and some just didn’t feel reliable. At some point I thought: what if I just build my own? Not just the app itself, but the whole journey — from zero to something real, learning as I go, maybe even figuring out marketing and getting people to actually use it.

I’m keeping the idea a little secret for now 👀 but I’ll share my progress here, hopefully every day.

For those of you building your own apps, what made you start? Was it a problem you wanted to solve, or the curiosity to build something yourself?
