@KenJaffe1@MAGALieTracker I started rewatching West Wing too. I’m always fascinated by the fact that we have the same issues arising today as were depicted in the show because they were issues of that time too. But, damn, wouldn’t it be amazing to have leadership that responds like Jed Bartlett?
@writerjamiebeck@Angry_Staffer My son just graduated with a degree in computer game development and has no hope for finding a job. It’s heartbreaking that he worked so hard for his grades and degree but is now working at Whole Foods. The jobs report doesn’t include the recently graduated who don’t have jobs.
Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people.
Struggling to find the words to describe how I feel after a beautiful few days in Hawaii with some amazing folks who are all working hard to level up in life and let go of limiting beliefs.
@leonsayswoof@krassenstein So, by your logic, if I witness a drug deal and report it, I should be the one who is punished…. Signal is not a platform that should be utilized for communicating between cabinet members on anything. Remember all the hubbub over Hillary using her private server?
@SGT_Martin705 @EliteDimerMVP @theliamnissan Just a tiny bit of research will show you that every country in the world experienced extreme inflation as a result of COVID. The U.S. successfully held down rising costs and mitigated inflation as compared to other countries in the world.
@rgreider @fedup5766 @BillyBaldwin That is not a deportation order. That was from a bond hearing. Much different. No evidence related to whether he was a gang member was presented or challenged. People are intentionally taking things out of context - with no clue what they are talking about.
As I have always warned, tariffs are bad policy, and trade wars with our partners hurt working people most. Tariffs drive up the cost of goods and services. They are a tax on everyday working Americans. Preserving the long-term prosperity of American industry and workers requires working with our allies, not against them. With so much at stake globally, the last thing we need is to pick fights with the very friends with whom we should be working with to protect against China’s predatory and unfair trade practices. That includes what we do on trade.
@the15six @PTP1776 @atrupar Oh how I wish this was true, but unfortunately, he never said that. He was, however, a registered Democrat for several years in the 2000’s.
If you’re in Tampa at the #ABAFCL Mid-Winter Meeting, be sure to catch Plenary 2 where my colleagues and I will be discussing the Owners Representative role on #Construction Projects! See you at 10:30!
@allenanalysis@jchilders98 I’d also argue that people are actually becoming aware of the drop in inflation and prices because the election is no longer dominating the news cycles with conflicting reports attempting to skew the voters’ perceptions of what was happening.
