@feltanimalworld@newstart@justinskycak I actually took a 3 day break from new material and just threw everything into anki. To combat the "pattern recognition" i just actively try to think about what's really happening and not just rote memorizing. how's everyone else's experience?
has anyone tried using anki (spaced repetition flashcards app) for #mathacademy concepts?? I feel like i understand concepts until it gets to the quiz, so I figured anki might help.
@m_ykeyy if I remember correctly the creators mapped each unit of xp to the amount of time they think the lesson should take? I could be wrong. But i'd say roughly yes
Upped xp to 100 every day to finish math foundations 2 by the end of the year. will say 100xp is def harder esp if you have other commitments like a full time job #mathacademy
halfway through #mathacademy foundations II and i felt like something clicked tonight! really excited for this since i'm starting to connect the dots and so much more is making sense
@newstart@_MathAcademy_ as someone who does take notes, i might try your method. any other benefits you've seen? perhaps it forces me to remember more since i dont have a mental safety net of "i can just go look at notes"
Day 1, made silly mistakes here and there but overall a good start. Still getting in the groove but I think I can hit ~100xp a day (which equates to about 1.5 hrs of work I think). Aim to finish Mathematical Foundations I-III by the end of the year!
