Long time ago, working at my dad’s gas station a young college aged woman comes in. Lost. I can give her directions, and start to draw a map. She has a panic attack “please! I need instructions! not a map!”. I think about it for more than a few seconds and realized I couldn’t give her instructions without first drawing myself a map. She was cool with that.
