At $500K a month the founder becomes the bottleneck.

Everything still runs through you. The supplier messages you, the 3PL messages you, customer service escalates to you, and somewhere in between you're supposed to find the next winning angle. The marketing slows down because the person who's best at it is answering shipping questions.

The fix is one person, not a team. One ops hire who owns the whole backend:
1. The 3PL and shipping times
2. Inventory and reorders
3. Customer service and the people running it
4. Suppliers and backup suppliers

You don't need a COO with a big title at this stage. You need one reliable operator who cares about the backend the way you care about ads. Explain why things matter, not just what to do, and talk to them every week instead of only when something breaks.
Then you go back to the thing that got you to $500K, which was marketing.

it just automated the most tedious part of making AI UGC ads

trained it on my entire ad library, every prompt I've ever used, every script that's ever won

now i drop in a competitor's winning ad and it breaks down the hook, the mechanism, the emotional arc, and the exact belief shift making it convert,
then rebuilds all of it around my own product: new script, new avatar, same bones that were already working

the part that's actually insane: i run this whole thing from my phone

no laptop open, no dashboard to babysit. i drop the competitor ad in on my way out the door, go on my walk, and get a notification when the script and avatar are ready for me to approve

how it actually finishes without me:
