@sjay_IIT As you would first need a letter of acceptance and support from the univ and the lab that you are going

@sjay_IIT Usually of they don't have funding for a minimum of three years. No good supervisor will hire a PhD student. But again once can always apply for external fellowship once you set you foot in.

But also fellowship is a decision that you need to take together with the supervisor

@sjay_IIT Once you have found a supervisor and have established contact. You can express your interest in applying for your fellowship and sometime they might know few one that we might be aware of!

@sjay_IIT In recent times most Uni and research institute has graduate school embedded in them to assist international students. So rather than spending several hours hunting down fellowship find a suitable PhD supervisor first.

Fellowship is a add on but a good supervisor is necessary
