However, social media companies showing content which is either illegal or is harmful with the incentive to make a quick buck - standing up to multinationals IS the government's job.

On one platform, they have actually used teenage insecurities as a means for profit. It isn't UK Gov Vs parents, but Gov Vs US social media companies.
