Love it! So frustrating when people treat their opinion as fact - not willing to articulate or validate the data sourced that would make their opinion actually a fact!
Alright, all you investors. Do your thing. @getprismm just got $1MM matching funds from Delaware. Whom among you want to go and invest into something that is revolutionizing wealth protection and transfer across generations?
@Hadley I'm finding understanding category purchase drivers and then as a subset, determinants of switching from incumbents vs adding to incumbents creates a lot of signal that can be used for marketing targeting and sales qualification
@mlg27_ Hi Michael, if not said already, you might want to partner with a university incubator instead where those types of obligations are not the same and don't have the same type of financial burden on you.
Alternatively, you could get in touch with a "long money" family office
@HarryStebbings I always go back to what are the conditions that would have to exist for this company to sustain a top quartile valuation in s&p 500 for 10+ years when valuing at huge xle on revenue because for it to succeed, it will have to turn that 'potential' into cash
@balajis Absolutely the case. Not enough acknowledged how small of a share of companies this is. Gives false sense of both hope, expectation for founders, LPs and GPs
Economics 101 is forgotten here. There wouldn't be a supply of capital for this type of growth if that type of growth wasn't there and vice versa. It is not the rule for all start ups. This is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction
"Triple, triple, double, double is dead.
Going from $1M to $3M to $9M is not interesting.
You have to go $1M to $15M to $100M."
@chetanp@honam@rabois@jasonlk@bdeeter@ttunguz is triple triple double double dead? Have our growth expectations changed forever?
@KristjanBackman Great share and sobering. Not enough companies ask the question "how could I be bankrupt in 5, 3, 1 year(s)?" And then adjust strategy and risk adjusted value of their company accordingly
@gregisenberg It's all about motivators & incentives. In this case the investors motivations & incentives are that you're motivated & incentivized to make them a f-load of money rather than you getting quality of life. Seen in my podcast & related research the mass vs outliers like this
@CeciStalls Congrats Ceci. If you want a best in class understanding of how to prime the adoption wave by present and future buying cohort, let's talk.
@veggie_eric I loved the book when it came out and as time has continued I have come to appreciate the materiality of only a dozen paragraphs or so. Crucial, but can get the point across without the extra pages.
I am excited to attend Silicon Y'all again this year to share about what it takes to maximize valuation of tech companies in 2025 and beyond!

Our 1st podcast hosted by @edgarbaum with @AriSGoldberg is dropping tomorrow.
Here is a bit of it on what founders need to consider when building their company and raising capital!
