@matthewsmith Good point. There would need to be a review and approval process of course, similar to app store or theme store. But also I think it’s a matter of educating the customers that the app is not the creator of the sections. And there can be in-app reviews of each creator.

#Shopify App idea: A sections marketplace where developers can upload sections they've built (.liquid files, compatible with any theme) and get paid when people buy those sections. The app takes a % cut.

I would believe it if mine dropped to those levels, even though I'm in a higher paying niche (ecommerce).
But does this look like a return to typical levels?

BUT Youtube has stopped paying me because of "invalid traffic".

My videos are purely educational, so ad revenue was the only income.
Why should I even continue now?

@YouTubeLiaison Here is a typical response from creator support regarding invalid traffic.
They repeat what we already know (even things we told them) and refer us to the articles again. Case closed. @TeamYouTube

@YouTubeLiaison @itscraylor @TeamYouTube The ad limiting makes sense. That's not the issue. What's mysterious is the invalid traffic itself.

From our perspective it's an invisible boogeyman. Only Youtube can see it. We cannot observe it ourselves.

How is it detected? Which videos? How much is there? Where from?

@YouTubeLiaison Thanks for acknowledging the issue. Unfortunately these articles still leave creators helpless. They only tell you what to avoid. But no solutions.
People get emotional because they rely on Youtube to pay the bills. A 90% revenue drop is like suddenly losing your job.

@itscraylor @TeamYouTube @YouTubeLiaison It was mysteriously fixed one day in July and for almost 2 months everything was fine. But just a few days ago CPM has dropped again and the invalid traffic notice is back.
