"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." – Buckminster Fuller
1. Small Business creates ~60% of new jobs every year
2. AI makes it easier and faster for them to compete with larger companies.
3. The % of jobs created by Small biz every year will only increase.
4. Start your job search with small businesses
Lawmakers don’t need stock trading to support their income. They need to do their damn jobs. Absolute grifter mentality. When they finish “serving” our country, they can go make all the money they want. Not sure how this is even a discussion.
The fact that Trump made so sure to silence Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie makes me more convinced than ever that there's something really incriminating in the Epstein files.
Within one 24 hour period, Trump:
- got out of a $100 million IRS fine
- secured "immunity" from all future tax investigations for his family and friends
- created a $1.8 billion slush fund for lawbreaking supporters
- was reported for likely insider trading worth nearly $1 billion
All of the obvious things to say about this are true. It's bad. Nobody even tries to defend it. The closest thing to a defense you get is something about how "but Democrats suck" and "woke was also bad," which is not a defense, but rather a kind of moral blank check made out to the administration to give them the right to do anything.
But what I'm most curious about is whether this sort of lurid corruption creates a countermovement that successfully returns government to rule of law or whether it's establishing a norm of executive imperialism that every future administration will use to achieve its ends, which can always be justified by the moral blank check of "the other side is worse, so let us do whatever we want."

Just saying the quiet part out loud.
This is deeply un-American.
The a president is just flat out saying he puts loyalty to him personally above the law.
@fortelabs@ohamaruri I felt the same, but with some simple customizations, Obsidian is now ridiculously seamless for me. I still use Apple Notes for disposable, quick capture, but overall Obsidian has been a massive unlock for my work. I only wish I could more easily access my notes in a browser.
@denk_tweets The only thing Substack offers is an audience (a good audience) that provides a bit of organic discovery & occasional viral lift.
If Beehiiv created something similar, it would be amazing. Even better if it was federated.
Of course, local newsletters don't really need this.
Destroying the @InternetArchive's @WayBackMachine would be the equivalent of the burning of the Library of Alexandria - one of the worst losses of knowledge in history.
Media giants are now threatening to do this.
We can't let this happen.
Pass it on.
I don’t think people realize how much healthcare costs are driving big companies to fire and not hire.
It costs them $30k per family, per year for premiums and care. Most of that goes to the massive, vertically integrated insurance companies that send weekly bills that no one reviews in details. And it doesn’t include the company overhead to deal with it all. It’s usually the 2nd largest expense after payroll. Which is insane
It’s far easier to blame AI than it is to blame Healthcare costs.
Want to increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for every American ?
Break up the biggest insurance companies. Make divest non insurance companies. They don’t need thousands of subsidiaries. That’s how they game and abuse the system and increase costs for all of us.
Call your senator and tell them to support the BreakUp Big Medicine Bill by @HawleyMO and @SenWarren.
