Ragavan and his lot justified the Tamil genocide. Their hatred for the LTTE means they contort themselves to undermine the Tamil struggle. They end up making the same arguments against the Tamil resistance that others make against the Palestinian resistance.

A #Tamil , prosperous diaspora, despite being chased away, can help in many aspects: capitol inflow, new sectors, skill development. But can't in earnest unless there is radical political reform which #Srilanka will never do.

Genocide and debt servicing will haunt #srilankadaily for a looong time. The economists & IMF, refusing to link the two have their heads in the sand. Country borrowed to commit Genocide. Still unsustainable defense spending. No revenue sources w/ growth potential except tourism.

@MarioArul A false dichotomy from a failing politician. It was obvious TNA policies would lead to Tamil voter apathy over time. Which is what Srilankan state wanted all along. Political imagination and expression of Tamils expanding is healthy. Neither extreme nor weak.

@JohnsonThought1 India s early support was primarily to coerce the Srilankan government into its orbit: Away from the west. LTTE was willing to fight to the end for statehood and even took on India.
