@soonrightaway They think, to some degree, that the U.S. is still an extension of their country, that we are still a colony of sorts and therefore should still be similar to the UK. In reality only about 20% of Americans have English ancestry.

@ellyssmile There's a dog in my neighborhood that has beef with my cat. (And my cat with him, to be clear, she's a jerk.) They both lunge at the window, screens have been broken, Yet once a week the owner will walk by my house, and seem totally caught off guard that the dog is losing it.
