@JohnBrayman Thanks!! I moved from White Rock British Columbia, though I went to university in Utah. I played to a +4 competitively through all of high school and college, so it's nice to get lucky and play like I used to every once in a while 🤣! Definitely wish I could get out more though!

@JohnBrayman I've only played one course so far in the area! I got here just before winter and played Pakenham Highlands. Great design, though a bit beat up conditions wise. Shot a smooth 73 in 40mph winds and driving rain though on the last week of the season, so that was sweet!!

@OrleansCanuck @HalifaxAuthor Looks like these guys had it under control. Sometimes what can happen is the wind can make crosswind correction look more dramatic than if otherwise not

@OrleansCanuck @HalifaxAuthor Going around in theory is always good, but can lead to complications if under IFR and busy. Not to mention burning a lot of fuel, you might look at up to an hour of holding if it is busy. If weather threatens to deteriorate, you might be better off heading to your alternate!

@OrleansCanuck @clark_aviation That is rough!! Something I like to do is to call out "gear down" even when I'm on the ground. In the PA-28 I fly, the gear switch is next to the heading indicator and light, so it is easy to hit the wrong switch if I am not careful!

Fun fact! Look closely at the flaps. On the -400 you will see both outboard and inboards are triple slotted. Now, look at the -8. The inboard is double slotted and the outboard is single slotted.
