Deactivating this account is bitter-sweet: Bitter because we’re not moving on to the general, but oh so sweet because we never had to update the account from twitter to “X” 😎
One last heartfelt thank you to all who supported this campaign, cheers to you friends!
A “road diet” is when the number of lanes on a road are reduced to improve safety for people driving, walking, and biking alike, while also providing space for different forms of transportation.
Send us a road that could use a diet!
Beaverton, OR, just eliminated all parking mandates. (it's sort of like Portland's equivalent of Redmond, WA).
Safe to say it wouldn't have happened without the state stepping up on parking reform. Beaverton still had the option to retain some mandates, but did the right thing.
Should parks be for kids to run around freely or for two lanes of speeding traffic? Lake Washington Boulevard is owned by @seattleparks (including the roadway), so why do we treat it like a speedway most of the time? #AccessibleLWB
The fact this path doesn’t actually take you to Seattle Center but drops you off in no man’s land is such a huge policy failure. I hope @Spottnik and @SeattleShines can fix it with the upcoming Memorial Stadium renovations.
We're excited to announce our 2023 primary endorsements for Seattle City and King County Councils!
Thanks to all of the candidates who participated and who want to make the city better place for everyone!

SPD officer says these temporary barriers were setup by Homeland Security and can stop a semi. Protecting people on sidewalks around the ballpark seems like a good idea not just this week but all the time. Black or dark green bollards could look better than these.
