Despite this, I do feel like the benefits online participation affords me are valuable enough to deal with the onslaught: contact with relatives, community building, information dissemination, etc. #315WeekTwelve
I really related to @zephoria's disidentification with coping with the massive "onslaught of contact" being online demands of us...I find myself falling into passivity to cope; neglecting notifications as they pile up. #315WeekTwelve#ccom315
I found the #315WikiChallenge to be way more fun than I originally thought! It was surprisingly easy to get the hang of the editor format, and the instruction tutorials made for straightforward use

@MalYeates7 totally agree! i feel like fast fashion, influencer marketing, and late stage capitalism all compound into a vicious cycle of harm for the environment, workers & citizens of places where products are manufactured, and consumers/impressionable youth targeted by fast fashion online
(2/3) the @nytimes article mentions Black people’s influence in terms of shaping “meme culture, fashion trends, slang, and humor,” as well as “cultural critisism and political demands”.
On the topic of digital blackface, I follow this Youtuber who made a great video essay on the topic if you are interested #315weekseven#ccom315 https://t.co/FDPYRsSxm6
