@SophieAhn1@Noah_lol1004 The formats are designed this way to minimize the costs for Riot. They pretty much cut costs where they can.
They didn't fire half the staff for no reason.
@RockLeeSmile All the competitors in the genre are incredibly flawed in many different ways. To offer a polished experience would be offerring something new.
@ZhugeEX There was no way that such comically large tariffs were in any way priced in.
I'm guessing that in the worst case Nintendo would have been expecting 20%.
@Lepandk I'm a mythic raider who doesn't push keys and is only trying to fill his vault.
This would be a terrible change. I can at least run out and change spec/talents right now.
This is one of the cases where I don't see why they would change the game for the 1%.
@Tanizhq It also doesn't really work with the current roster rules. The T2 teams in EMEA for example are only able to build their rosters with 3/5 local residents. While the VCT teams don't have this restriction.
Imagine having to compete against a VCT team with a limited player pool.
@con8970 @2XKOintel @AREtoiles Riot is not really known for casual games, are they? All their games are hardcore competitive multiplayer games. Why would anyone expect anything different from their fighting game?
They are trying to 'streamline' their games to make them more accessible. That doesn't mean easy.
@joejedwards@HereticsVal@G2VALORANT Why would G2 have two bans? Only the upper bracket winner in the grand finals gets two bans to compensate for double-elimination, no?
@Bo_Hoogland Literally your entire year is getting decided in a handful of matches. The format is just incredibly stupid.
A lot of teams might only have a couple of meaningful games left for the whole year. This is the only chance the teams have to make any change.
