The thing is, most people can’t grasp what a million is. Let alone the overhead it takes to run an org with 500 professionals (let alone 300,000)

@armstrong69greg @chriswarkentin Don’t forget, that’s not all salary dollars. You are also dealt with all the overhead of an employee (office space/lighting/heat/water, IT, cleaning, benefits, HR, training, etc.)

Per employee is probably closer to $80k by the time all is said and done.

Mining camps supply all meals, they seem pretty normal. It’s a perk for heave equipment operators etc. if not, the next guy will.
