Cancer care in Ireland:
New report shows Irish patients have to wait twice as long for access to new life saving medicines.
#IPHAForum discussion highlights some of the issues.

This is great &ks all the jurors&those who provided knowledge and skills to this forum. We cannot ignore the elephant in the room of GMI/Genuity taking Irish peoples &patients data for no benefit to Irish public with millions of public investment DonnellyStephen @SusanMitchell_
Jurors really wanted to ensure that their voice was heard. Today, they appear before the National Steering Group for Genetics and Genomics to share the verdict, including an appeal for more public engagement around ‘tricky’ health topics. Further info here https://t.co/vVtG0lqpN3
@paddycosgrave It’s the level of stupidly from dedicated elite athletes that is a shame. We all do/say stupid things but this is being absolute twits which is just so disappointing albeit I applaud their sporting achievement
@_PetInsurance_@CBridge_Chief@DPCIreland It’s not specifically about the security of the data. It is about requesting personal data that is not necessary. This is against GDPR, eg demanding detailed personal data fm owners of pets to even give pet insurance quote @DPCIreland
@_PetInsurance_ why is the owners data of birth required in order for you to provide a quote for pet insurance? How is this relevant ? #GDPR@CBridge_Chief
@UCD_PPI_Ignite@PPI_Ignite_Net@UCDLibrary@reculture_ucd@UCD_Research@mulcahyforbes @CiarnMartinFit1 In relation to the environment of publish or perish, academic weakness/outright fraud non peer & peer reviews pre publications eg Covid and such abject failures by some once renowned publishers. Is scientific publishing broken. Why should patients align ? Any comments @drg1985
“We are playing for our girls in Iran.” Swedish Women's National Soccer Team posted this on IG in support of the Iranian women before the game with France.

Almost none of what follows in this thread is true.
Transgenerational epigenetic inheritance has never been shown in humans, and in mice, the results are pretty ropey on the whole, underpowered, statistically questionable.
Exercise, eat well, but not because of flakey science.
These muppets (I am being kind) have treated me disgracefully and lost my baggage.
Their online 'tracing' system couldn't find the bag, so they just terminated my request, and Dublin Airport don't answer queries about luggage.
Stuck. Can anyone help? I have all the tags.
@little_emmabird@drg1985@FryRsquared@sky__john I would be the opposite, I would not trust an oncologist who did not tell me the truth when they kNOW that something is WOO . That would be unethical, a lack of a duty of care and most likely result in them being sanctioned
@little_emmabird@drg1985@FryRsquared@sky__john Technically lots is not known but often mechanism of actions are. Anyways Emma have a nice day. Can’t see that we are going to agree. I’m all about evidenced based and ethics - I have seen horrendous harms and exploitation with non evidenced based codswallop and woo
