After a deadly pandemic & major public outcry, @CDCgov still approved a draft of infectious disease guidance that is WEAKER than the current standards.
What’s worse? They’re continuing to close out the public by giving only 5 days to provide feedback. https://t.co/tX591c2l2e
Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS that CDC/HICPAC just voted to weaken precautions in healthcare settings.
They ignored all expert and public feedback.
They say they will take feedback from Federal Register comments made in the 60 day window -- but why would they, if they haven't already.

EPA tests on #corsirosenthalbox es. 97% reduction of airborne virus in 30 minutes. 3,000 ft3 chamber. Compare this with bipolar ionization. Their tests were done in a chamber the size of a shoebox. Billions of dollars sold to schools in 2020-2022. What a waste!
So frustrated that @Verily#covid wastewater surveillance data is almost useless. Give me the option to roll up states to a region. I can't even look at California in aggregate. It should not be much effort to report 4 regions (E, W, Midwest, S) and national trend.
“Why are you still wearing a mask?”
A doctor who I met at an indoor seminar asked me.
“I use it like a seat belt. We don’t know when it will make a difference, but we wear it just in case. We also wear it only when the car is moving - see we’re indoors now, and it is crowded”
More than 600 million migrating birds are predicted to pass over our state just tonight.
Turn your lights off if you can and let’s help the birds on their way.

Important wastewater data update: Biobot has lost its contract. This is disappointing news as wastewater data has been difficult to communicate to the public, and Biobot has been one of the leaders in making COVID wastewater data easy to understand.
@Elly33@kschorsch@WBEZ Any pregnant woman in IL regardless of immigration status has access to health insurance. Area FQHCs and cook county health department are eager to help but connecting is hard!
