I’ve done a bunch of @IntrepidMuseum Astro Lives with @KSpaceAcademy & @elysiasegal, but this one was special. @NASASpaceflight took the show on the road this week for a virtual field trip to NASA’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab. ICYMI the whole stream is up here https://t.co/PjtXNJE7MY

CHANG ZHENG 10B: LANDING SUCCESSFUL
China successfully lands an orbital-class booster!
"Today, the Long March 10B carrier rocket launched from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. After the first and second stages separated, the first stage returned vertically and was successfully recovered on a sea-based recovery platform. This marks my country's first successful controlled recovery of a carrier rocket's first stage and the world's first network-based recovery of a carrier rocket."

Tomorrow morning, China is attempting to launch *and catch* their Chang Zheng 10B for the first time.
Launch is NET July 10, 04:10 UTC.
As it launches from Wenchang and flies over the water, CZ-10B's booster will target a wire-catch boat downrange.
The CZ-10B shares a Kerosene/Oxygen first stage with the CZ-10A, but swaps the second stage for a more powerful Methane/Oxygen stage.
The Chang Zheng 10 - the key Super Heavy-lift rocket powering China's crew lunar program - will also utilize three of these boosters, in a Falcon Heavy-like configuration.
The CZ-10A has flown once before, successfully conducting a controlled soft splashdown in the South China Sea.
This is the latest orbital-class Chinese vehicle to attempt booster recovery. The first, Zhuque-3, and the second, Chang Zheng 12A, have energetically impacted the ground.
If successful, the CZ-10B will become the first non-American rocket type to achieve this capability.

The launch of Starship Flight 13 is fast approaching as Starbase moves through the test schedule and prepares launch notices for mid-July attempts. Notably, Ship 41, intended for Flight 14, is also undergoing testing.

We just reached another mile marker as we prepare for our journey to the Moon's far side!
The team completed static load testing for our Elytra barrel and dual payload attach fitting that houses ESA's Lunar Pathfinder satellite. This rigorous testing at our Rocket Ranch verifies the structures can handle the extreme pressure they'll experience during launch.
This achievement means all primary structures have passed acceptance testing for Blue Ghost Mission 2 and are ready to be assembled together!
Ships for Flights 13 and 14 are taking turns at Massey's test site. Ship 40 has completed preflight testing with a six-engine static fire, while Ship 41 has begun cryoproofing.
