@RobertCoavas@_KaizenMindset_ My wife and I are 50, been together since we were teenagers. We don't regret not having children whatsoever. Different strokes for different folks. If we need taken care of in old age our money is a guarantee we can pay somebody to do it, having children is no guarantee.
@b_co_co I drive a tricked out truck. I paid cash for it brand new 10 years ago. According to this chart my salary was far from being able to afford my truck. 🤔
@AmyPeikoff I'm 100% OK with permanent DST but if we don't do that let's just keep doing what we're doing. People get on a plane and fly from Chicago to New York and don't complain at all about an hour time difference. Not sure why people are crybabies about 1 hr time change 2x per year.
@SaveStandard@RepBarragan 4am daylight in the summer benefits nobody. Most people where I live already go to work in the dark during winter even under standard time. Take your 4am summer daylight and shove it.
@Avabelly__ I had a neighbor who did stuff like this at sunrise on the weekend. On days he did it I dug out my old trombone from and had trombone practice with the bell of the horn up against an open window that faced his house at midnight. It took 3 or 4 times but he figured it out.
@sheffiela01@cashrulesNC My elderly parents pay for 1st class trans atlantic/transpacific flights to get to their Viking cruises. They have the money and you can't take it with you so why torture yourself when you can spoil yourself.
@Arkypatriot@laufamily1967 I already arrive at work in the dark in the wintertime. Yes, I do gain an hour of usable daylight after work if we keep DST.
@tokyo_111 I'm 50 (GenX). I've had no car debt since my mid 20's and paid my mortgage in full at age 38. How about you ditch your fancy coffees and latest I-phones and live beneath your means. I'm a millionaire and I still don't waste money on that crap.
@92michael I’m in a northern state and I already drive to work in the dark. Who cares if it’s dark for another hour while I’m stuck at work. An extra hour of light after work will be wonderful!
@AlastairGrayson@CRYPT0N1TE@ajwodecki@realDonaldTrump@elonmusk WRONG. Under standard time in the summer it will be light out at 4:30am. I know a lot of people and not a single one of them gets up at 4:30am. 4:30am daylight will benefit almost nobody. Take your permanent standard time and shove it. DST all the way.
@skumWgmi My wife and I are 50/47. Neither of us have a college degree. We’ve gotten no help from anyone. Paid for 4BR house, zero debt and 1.8 million liquid assets. Live below your means for 30 years and invest. We started out in a shitty mobile home.
@giveashitnature Yet my city catches feral cats and instead of killing them like they should the spay/neuter them and release them back out into the city to kill as many native songbirds as they can with impunity.
@AllisonVG@DoctorJack16@POTUS@VP@RobertKennedyJr@DrOz How is it getting light out at 4:30am in the summertime good for your health? That will benefit almost nobody. Most people where I live already drive to work in the dark in the winter, who cares about another hour of darkness while at work
