He then tries to gaslight any interlocutors by saying they just “don’t understand” LDS doctrine, even when presented with scripture, prophets, or church-published manuals.

We are not, and frankly I think you're either working with very limited information or your moral compass is broken to think that we are.

When I met RFM in person, I realized he actually delights in the discomfort of others. He is one of the most disgusting individuals I've ever had the discomfort of interacting with. I get why, if you don't see through the lies he repeatedly tells, and haven't seen things like his slimy Come Follow Me podcast he made to lure people who didn't know his content into gotcha traps you might think that - but I'll just chalk this up to you not really understanding just how horrific of a person this guy actually is.

Please, never ever compare me with that repugnant loser again.

And he and Bill are not more balanced on the data than Cardon and Jonah. I understand you might think that if you have accepted some of their erroneous presuppositions, or if you just don't actually believe in God or angels or miracles - but all they do is tear down. Their philosophies make the people who follow them miserable, while people who watch our show get inspired to fix their lives and get back in alignment with God and their families.

@jkimballcook @InformedSaints Then he isn’t using “cognate set” correctly. Regardless, any apologetic relying on linguistics requires the original allegedly ancient words and sentence structure to be preserved, which necessarily requires a tight translation.

@jkimballcook @InformedSaints What do you mean, “why”? A cognate-set apologetic requires individual English words having a common origin with another language, meaning the BoM translation process had to be word-for-word, or “tight”, as opposed to a “loose” or “conceptual” revelatory process.
