We're pulling out of the international diesel market, which will lower diesel prices domestically but it will raise the prices even further on the international market. Higher international diesel prices internationally means anything on the global supply chain will get a lot more expensive, anything that arrives by boat or plane or crosses the border will shoot up in price because they need to make up for cost of delivery. The international market was effectively being upheld by the US being able to carry the load of the export of gas and diesel while the straits were blocked, which is why gas is so much more expensive here now since we need to sell more on the international level so everything doesn't collapse. Not to mention the fact that other countries surely won't appreciate the fact we're no longer helping with upholding the diesel market even if it's only for three months since we forced everyone into this situation due to the war in Iran, the blockading of two straits, and now the East-West Pipeline blowing up.

It's basically just a massive ripple effect.
