Today, we're taking the true spirit of Dartmoor to London.
The fate of wild camping will be decided by the courts.
Whatever the outcome, Darwall has succeeded in unleashing something powerful and ancient:
A commitment to our commons, our love for the land, our right to belong.
Darwall team now arguing that picnicking on the Commons under their interpretation would be trespassing. "Once youve started your picnic you are no longer relying on your right, you are relying on a more informal practice"...
Yesterday, Conham Bathing was featured in @thetimes as part of their ongoing feature on water quality in the run up to the national election! 🗳️ 🦦 https://t.co/9i9KBW4q2Z

Another fab film highlighting the impacts of sewage in Windermere... @MattStaniek never misses! Also love to see some love for the freshwater inverts. 🐛
Something is destroying this river. How bad is it? Make sure you watch to the end...
We have been studying the rivers that feed into Windermere with our partners at @WildFishCons to determine how impactful sewage is to the freshwater ecology of the Lake District National Park and @UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As of today, we are now live with our first annual report, studying the abundance and diversity of invertebrates (insects) at 6 key river sites, with data collected and analysed by independent expert entomologists Dr Nick Everall and @DrSamGreen .
Some of the results are truly shocking.
In this short video, we highlight our stark findings from Wilfin Beck in October of 2023… But the nightmare doesn’t stop there - read the full report at https://t.co/Z8svuQkFOO and make sure to subscribe for more updates very soon.
@thetimes covered this as part of their clean it up campaign just this morning

Tomorrow, Channel 4, 9pm = must-watch TV 🍿🍿
When your water industry is taking the piss, why not throw it right back at them?
Go @joelycett! (co-starring our resident science expert, Eva 🙌)
Great PhD opportunity to join us here at UWE, Bristol.

🫧This isn't a pagan ritual...
📢It's a campaign by Save Our Avon to raise awareness about the quality of the river's water, with the end goal of getting it ‘legal personhood’ status.
It wouldn't be the first time it's happened. Read the full story: https://t.co/8KlGNyKUsg
What an amazing day on Saturday speaking with the @Conham_bathing crew at the Save our Avon event on the banks of our beautiful Avon. An inspiration to see our community of river lovers get together for a day of appreciation and fun!
Massive fish kill at Salford Quays in last 24 hours. Photos taken yesterday afternoon. Huge flush of sewage combined with failure of aeration system has killed thousands of fish. Urgent need to quantify losses. Can we have an update @EnvAgencyNW
