The #EUGW team had a blast at @esa's #LPS25 this week❗
We are grateful for the insightful discussions, new connections, & shared passion for #EO and land monitoring 🌱
A big thank you to everyone who attended our presentation, we appreciate your interest & enthusiasm🌾
Couldn’t wake up early enough to catch our presentation at #LPS25❓

At #LPS25, today’s session on the Nature Restoration Regulation stressed the need for co-design, standardisation, and interoperable platforms to support monitoring 🛰️ & reporting
These are the challenges we aim to address through the #EUGW platform🌱

Don't forget that our #EUGW colleagues participate in @esa's #LSP25's session tomorrow: 'A Modular and Operational Satellite-based Monitoring Service to Support the EU Biodiversity Policy'❗️
Come & learn about our project & the role of grassland monitoring using #Copernicus data 🛰️

At today’s #LPS25 afternoon poster session, Victor Verhaert from @VITObelgium was kind enough to walk us through his work on managing large-scale workflows using #openEO.
A smart approach to scaling processing for platforms like #EUGW.
And we're off with day 2️⃣ at #LPS25 starting with a #Copernicus4Regions breakfast 🥐 with @NEREUSaisbl❗️
Margarita Chrysaki (@NEREUSaisbl), Policy Communication and Project Officer, welcomes the #EO 🛰 community
And... we're off 🚀at @esa's Living Planet Symposium #LPS25❗️
Our colleague @DrGeoffSmith, will co-chair tomorrow's session: 'Terrestrial and Freshwater Biodiversity'

#Grasslands cover 40% of the Earth's surface and support many species, including this endangered European hamster.
They also store carbon, prevent erosion, and support agriculture.
#EUGW is developing a platform to support grassland conservation.

At the start of the Grassland Fishbowl session at #CLMSGA2025, @DrGeoffSmith introduced #EUGW and highlighted the need for novel EO-based 🛰️products and services to better monitor the state of Europe’s 🇪🇺 grasslands 🌱
Come meet us in the Grassland Fishbowl 🐟 session at 13:30 in Room Synergia 3⃣ at the #CLMSGA2025
We'll be participating in a discussion on how Earth Observation 🛰️ can support grassland monitoring, conservation and EU 🇪🇺 policy❗️
Very interesting introduction to the Global Land Cover product from Fred Stolle of @WorldResources at #CLMSGA2025:
💬 “The world is changing. Satellite 🛰️ data is very important for helping us understand and manage these changes.”
At the #CLMSGA2025 poster session, @DrGeoffSmith walked participants through how #EUGW moves beyond classification to describe grasslands according to 3⃣ categories:
🟢Productivity
🟢Type
🟢Management
One of the most exciting parts of #CLMSGA2025 is spotting synergies between projects and products❗️
This new #CLMS layer 🗺️ on endangered species 🐦 and habitats in #Natura2000 areas is a perfect example
#EUGW
During the Introductory Presentations at #CLMSGA2025, policy relevance was highlighted as a key priority for #Copernicus 🛰️ 3.0.
🌿#EUGW focuses on delivering tools that support EU 🇪🇺policy and conservation efforts on the ground 🗺️
