@Mangan150@FitFounder or people think "this is how im supposed to feel. my parents felt like this my age. everyone around me feels this way. it's the way it's supposed to go."
@BiggestComeback Great work and way to grind that last rep.
Your spotter should grab the bar as you re-rack it and secure it against the safeties. There is still potential for the bar to bounce off and she’d need crazy fast reflexes to catch the bar. Save for your face!
@100poundsmuscle@wolfstrength Check out Barbell Prescription too. One of the coaches talks about starting with that book first and then Starting Strength

@100poundsmuscle@wolfstrength considering anthropometry, age, surgeries, etc. i bet with training, patience and dedication some of those 200 can press way more than they ever imagined. maybe not 225 but more than they thought
@100poundsmuscle@wolfstrength i have poverty bench? lol. There were issues for bench that didn't show on press. Tendinitis from squat and then bench form fixes for bicep pain. Also focused on press for my first meet. Diagnosing and fixing pain took a while and bench was taken out of programming for the meet
@100poundsmuscle@wolfstrength Should have used untrained. To give a bit more background I was 41 and the only one of the lifts I ever did was bench press. It was completely foreign to me. I don’t have video of my training journey from the beginning all i have is my training log.
