Further to my #OsunGuber2026 election night tweet reproduced (Image 4), I still believe that @inecnigeria owes Nigerians clear answers to 3 critical questions:

1. Why did result transmission freeze for nearly 3 hours (20:48 hrs–23:42 hrs ) on the Election night? Why the sudden rush of 236 results in less than 1 minute right after that (Image 1)?
2. Why were 51 polling unit results uploaded ONLY after declaring a winner (Image 2)?
3. Why are 11 polling unit results still missing on IReV even TODAY (Image 3)?

Which is the better investment?

The answer shouldn’t require a degree in political science.

Good governance is not rocket science. They often make it sound complicated enough to convince you that ordinary people cannot understand it: because complexity is a useful cover for bad decisions, misplaced priorities, and tricks.

Sometimes, governance is simply about asking: What problem affects the most people, and where will this money create the greatest impact?

You don’t go to a “President School” to become President. You need judgment, common sense, competence, and the ability to put public interest ahead of personal interest.

The hard part isn’t always knowing what to do. Sometimes, the hard part is choosing to do it.

The reason the citizen spent 3 days on that Benin road is because scarce resources was deployed elsewhere.

Here's an example of what I was talking about yesterday using Google Earth images (https://t.co/0fTAkv0qOS).

For context, Obajana is the largest cement plant in Nigeria. It was commissioned by former President Obasanjo in early 2007 just before he left office, so coming up to 20 years old. It is a giant complex for which Dangote operated it completely tax free for about 10yrs. He abused the government's pioneer status scheme with this plant to such extreme levels that the scheme was scrapped for cement.

Cement has also been completely protected for more than 20yrs in Nigeria - imports are totally banned with clinker only allowed with 50% tariffs.

Image 3 - is roughly 5 miles from the plant. You can see mud walls (anytime there are heavy rains in Nigeria, you always get stories of people dying because their mud houses collapsed)

This is where the world's richest black man makes his billion dollar fortune. Once you step outside the factory gates, much of the surrounding area remains unpaved shoulders, rudimentary drainage and pedestrians sharing the road with his thousands of cement lorries.

When I say there is zero evidence of cement linked to Nigerian development in any way, this is what I mean. Nigeria has consumed roughly a third of the amount of cement you'd expect because Dangote extracts an unbelievable price for "manufacturing" cement in Nigeria and "stopping imports". His focus on his margins above everything else is almost deranged.

But give it a few weeks, there will soon be another article in some reputable foreign media talking about how Dangote is on a journey to industrialise Africa. Meanwhile the man's two-decade record is right there in plain sight for everyone to see.

Yes, the Nigerian government is retarded enough to let this happen so it is not all his fault. But does Dangote himself have no shame? No innovation, no technology mastery, no impact on his immediate doorstep. Just his margins and counting his billions of dollars.

Happy to have helped these two men regain their freedom after being wrongly accused and detained for months.

The man in the first frame, an electrician, received a call to carry out electrical work at a location. However, upon arriving, a woman inside the premises began shouting and accused him of being a thief. All his attempts to explain himself were met with hostility.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station, where he was finally able to explain himself. Upon his explanation, he was asked to provide bail. Unable to meet the bail conditions, he was eventually charged to court and arraigned in April.

Since we took over the matter in June and began court proceedings,the prosecution witness never showed up. Eventually, in August, our legal team applied for the matter to be struck out, and our client was discharged last week.

The same thing happened to the man in the second frame. He was accused of stealing in April and subsequently spent months in detention, with little to no meaningful progress. We found him in June, took up his matter and following the grant of our application to have the matter struck out, he also regained his freedom last week.

At a time when jungle justice is rife, it is commendable that both cases were allowed to proceed through the legal process. But the more important lesson is that no one should be accused and subjected to months or years of detention on the basis of mere suspicion.
If you accuse someone of a crime, you must be prepared to back the allegation with evidence and diligently pursue the case initiated. It is a fundamental principle of Nigerian law that he who asserts must prove.

There has been a serious gridlock in the past 5 days along the Benin–Agbor–Onitsha corridor.
Nigerians who are travelling by road along Benin, Agbor, and Onitsha have been stuck on the road for 5 days.

No word from the Ministry of transportation
No word from the governors of the states.

This is such a critical route and there is stil no coordinated emergency response to clear the gridlock.
Now citizens are buying machetes to clear bush path themselves to create a makeshift road.
Why is this not making the news?

I was in a bus going to Owerri on Saturday with this lady, she was cranky , shouting at everyone and kept sighing. At a point she broke down in tears, later she apologised to the lady beside her for how she reacted, that she left Lagos on Wednesday with night bus, hoping to get to mgbidi on Thursday morning for the mum’s burial on Friday.
Alas! She slept in Benin gridlock from Wednesday till Saturday morning. She said she has to pay Hausa okra riders 35k, she and some other passengers to move them from the gridlock to issele uku.
That was how she was able to get to Onitsha by 5am on Saturday.
She missed her mother’s burial.
