Construction professional, love everything architectural and design. Massive foodie! Tweets are my mutterings. Very proud Vizsla owner. Loves a boozer.
@Gails_Bakery opening a store in Cheltenham but their livery suggests I live in Canary Wharf. Great respect for the local community. Very disappointed with the Gail’s team

His diagrams were an excellent tool that helped me understand what’s wrong with our modern built environment - and what we must do to improve it.
Courtyard urbanism in London. Fleeting views into secluded courtyard gardens are a thing of great charm, for which Andalusia and the Maghreb are famous. We are told that England is too gloomy for such urbanism, but this example is appealing even on a cloudy winter day.
Do you know the utterly hideous Imperial Hotel on Russell Square in Bloomsbury? If you live in London I’m guessing so….

This is as bad as it gets…
We’ve just submitted planning for 25 apartments in Stockport. The existing historic building is retained and restored with a new build extension added. A new residents garden faces the street. @stopinstockport@CIVIC_SQUARE@archi_tradition@YIMBYLAND
Here's your reminder that John Hughes won a gold medal in the Architecture section of 1932 Los Angeles Olympics for his 'Design of a Sports and Recreation Centre with Stadium for the City of Liverpool'. That was unrealised; he's better known for designing St Andrew's Gardens.
A machine to strike fear into the hearts of anyone who suffered Maxpax hot drinks on BR in the 1980s. An unforgettable combo of genuinely horrific taste & superheated fluid in a plastic cup so thin you could melt off your fingerprints. Seen at @geevormuseum
Great to see the restored façade of the former Dominion Cinema in Harrow being revealed in these new pictures.
Built in 1936 to designs by Frank Ernest Bromige, the Art Deco cinema was entombed in metal cladding from 1962 for nearly 60 years, until it was finally removed in 2021. The building is currently being redeveoped into 78 apartments, with a four-screen picture house on the ground floor.
