Life in cybersecurity got a whole lot better when I realized that success is inevitable if you keep putting in the work. It might take time, but eventually.
The evolution from a student to a World-class engineer
Be there 🔥
Maybe a netflix documentary sometimes in the future will tell the story well😂😂
Till then follow the story on my X TL and LinkedIn page🔥😂
@ireteeh My major goal for August is to secure an internship to help build and strengthen my SOC skills through hands-on experience. Until then, I self-learn to keep improving and acquire knowledge💪💪
SOC Update: Detected a RAT attempting to access the server room. Initial assessment: physical intrusion. Containment successful. No indicators of compromise beyond the affected perimeter.😂😂😂
@thariskyjohn "Hello, IT! my desktop just stopped displaying all of a sudden" but na your chair you use comot the System Unit plug from power source.😂😂
I have done a whole lot this IT period, I'm wondering if this is what I'll document for my lecturers.😭😭😂😂
This!!!!😂😂😂
Yesterday, I got back home from my place of Intern and all I did was drop my bag, connect to my headset and sit on that chair with my cooperate and koko shoe. My uncle had to question me if all was well. There's nothing as relieving as that beautiful moment.😭😂
When I get married, one thing I know I’ll really miss is my after-work alone time. 😭
There’s something about sitting in my chair for like two hours, legs crossed, scrolling through my phone with absolutely nobody disturbing me. 😂😂
I’ll genuinely miss all these little, little things o. 🥹
Hi everyone, new project alert…!!🚨 🔥🔥
Since I can’t post long here, here’s a little overview of the project.

Spent some time going through the recording of Saturday's class on @TechSphereAcad LMS, and it was all about Wireshark.
In this session, I learned how to analyze network traffic, capture packets from websites, and become more comfortable navigating the Wireshark interface.
I also practiced using display filters to quickly find specific packets instead of scrolling through thousands of entries. One thing I found interesting was learning how to identify different protocols like DNS, TCP, HTTP, and ARP, and how to interpret HTTP status codes.
e.g
1️⃣ 200 – Request was successful
2️⃣ 400 – Bad Request : The server couldn't process the request because it was invalid.
3️⃣ 404 – Resource not found
4️⃣ 500 – Internal Server Error
One thing I realized is that Wireshark can look overwhelming at first, but once you know what you're looking for, it becomes much easier to follow what's happening on the network.

Don’t overcomplicate becoming a SOC analyst.
If you’ve ever:
- Checked Windows Event Viewer
- Investigated a failed login
- Restarted a suspicious service
- Looked through firewall logs
- Traced a user permission issue
Congrats — you’ve already done the foundation of SOC work.
SOC at its core is:
- Monitoring behavior
- Investigating anomalies
- Understanding normal vs. abnormal
Now add context:
- Log correlation
- Basic attacker techniques
- SIEM familiarity
- Clear documentation
And just like that, you’re on your way to being SOC-ready.
The real upgrade?
Stop thinking “alerts.”
Start thinking “behavior.”
It’s all about recognizing the patterns.
